Speaking

Need to inspire your female employees? Train your managers?

As a senior corporate executive, speaker, and author, I speak to women about what it takes to attain true success and fulfillment in today’s complex business environment. In my most popular keynote, "How to Reclaim Control & Maximize Your Career Trajectory," I explain why women’s careers are more challenging to navigate than ever before and offer specific actions for women to accelerate their career growth. The presentation shares original research insights, stories from successful and fulfilled women, and pragmatic tips.

My talks are influenced by my career path. In 2020 I pivoted from a traditional corporate trajectory at Bain, Apple, and beyond to begin researching and writing about women at work. My pivot was sparked by my journey stepping into motherhood. When I had my first daughter, I craved a more authentic and purposeful career. Through my initial research I quickly discovered that my story—building a stellar career, doing everything "right," but waking up lost—is not unique. I went on to study the career trajectories of more than 150 highly successful women and become an expert on women and strategic career management. What these women do best is actively control their career trajectory, a universal skill that benefits all women in the workforce.

What others have to say

“The Woman’s Initiative Network at SAS was challenged once again to find a speaker for our Annual Go Red Women's Event. We wanted a speaker who would inspire women to seize the New Year and encourage career development across the company. Through my network I knew about Jessica Galica’s book and thought leadership, but it was when I got to meet her, and evaluate her 1 on 1 as a speaker, that I knew she would be a perfect fit. Jess' presentation on How Women Can Reclaim and Maximize Their Career Trajectory was amazing! She kept our group of nearly 200 women from different regions and corporate functions engaged from start to finish. The presentation, which included insights from her original research, was interesting and thought provoking, even for our most senior female leaders. Our audience also valued that the content was actionable, with specific and immediate steps women can take to accelerate their careers. I've referred Jess as a keynote speaker to other leaders in my network, and SAS is planning a bigger event with her later this year. I would highly recommend her as a speaker for your next event!"

Jess and her work as a speaker are phenomenal! In celebration of International Women's Day, we invited Jess to be the virtual keynote speaker for one of the UN Women's U.S. chapter events. I can't say enough good things about Jess and her presentation. The topic - women taking control of their careers - is critical. Jess beautifully expresses the need for this conversation. The message was crisp and clear and the delivery was sharp. Every visual that she used was extremely effective, and the images and messages behind them have stuck with me long after the event. I can't wait for the opportunity to bring Jess back for an in-person event with the UN Women's network, and I’m passionate about amplifying Jess and her work to new groups of women who need to hear this conversation! If you’re looking for a speaker to supercharge your event, don't walk, RUN to work with her.

— Tsegga Medhin, UN Women USA NC President

I lead internal communications for a tech company. I was fortunate to hear Jess speak at an event a few months ago and was very interested in having her address our company. I hired Jess to give a leadership keynote to our women's group, which also includes some male allies and managers. Everyone who attended said Jess was a fantastic speaker. I have received only positive feedback. Her presentation not only got our employees thinking about women's leadership, but got them to actually begin to take action. As a way of keeping the ball rolling, our head of HR is already implementing reflection sessions that Jess introduced in her keynote. If you're looking to tackle big inspiring topics, while also making the conversation feel real to the audience, then Jess should be your keynote speaker choice.
