Coaching

Are we a fit?

I work with high-performing and high-potential women in Corporate and Startup environments who are either (1) considering a change in their career; or (2) looking to level up or more sustainably thrive in their existing leadership position.

Some of my clients are working moms reevaluating their career trajectory alongside family demands. Others are Founders or Startup Leaders looking for a coach to support their fast-paced career curve. Every woman I work with has a desire to do and be more, but also the sense that they are “stuck”—uncertain of their career goals, overwhelmed by the responsibilities that come with a high-performing career, or unfulfilled by work that feels meaningless or misaligned.

Together we tackle the deep questions that matter:

  • An honest look at where you are today in your career and your life. How do you want to contribute through your career? What work or team environment brings out your best leader within?

  • An envisioning of where you want to go. We strip away the negatives around you—judgment, fear, guilt—to answer challenging questions: How do you want to contribute? What values and accomplishments will you achieve through that work?

  • A roadmap for your future. What are the goals you need to start reaching now? What is your career roadmap for the next year? For the next three years? How can you gather momentum and move in the right direction?

My approach

Great coaching helps you exhale, regroup, and decide how to move forward. It also helps you take your career to the next level. My approach to coaching is informed by my (1) Firsthand professional experience operating in the most competitive and elite professional environments, from management consulting at Bain & Company to startups to Fortune 500 companies in Tech. My coaching is also informed by my (2) Thought leadership on women and work. In 2020 I began researching and writing about women and career development. Specifically, I became an expert on women and career reinvention. I have studied or interviewed 150+ women who decided to make strategic shifts mid-career. Based upon the results of those interviews and the success of those women, I have developed a process that I share with my private clients.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in the core belief that the answers to your biggest career and life questions are inside of you. I help you find the key to unlock the answers you already know. And then, we co-develop a roadmap to reach a career that maximizes your potential, success, and fulfillment.

What others have to say

"The time I spent with Jess was really valuable. She provided an unbiased sounding board to think through the things that I was trying to accomplish and evaluate them more effectively. It gave me the space to think carefully and strategically and without any judgment. As a result I gained a lot more clarity on what I really wanted. The coaching sessions also held me accountable to do the things I needed to do and helped me manage my time more effectively.”

— Zoe Bernstein, Account Director, Marketing Agency

"I worked with Jess as a coach when I was feeling stuck in my career and unsure about my next steps. I was incredibly impressed by Jess’s ability to ask questions that left me feeling supported and hopeful, but also challenged me to see a new perspective and the bigger questions that I needed to answer. I was amazed at how much we accomplished and how much my mindset shifted even after just our first session together. I would highly recommend Jess as a coach and look forward to continuing to work with her in the future."

— Jennifer, Philanthropy Director

"Jess coached me when I was contemplating significant life transitions including reevaluating my career path. Jess listened with intention.  She understood that it's not always about what is happening but rather how we feel about it.  Jess asked open and honest questions without judgement and encouraged me to go deeper into the topics where I had more to say. Jess was creative in coming up with assignments that helped me better understand my goals without overthinking or overcomplicating. After working with Jess, I have made some big (but great) life and career choices and continue to feel less stressed and more optimistic about my future."
